The premise

A publishing executive is visited and bitten by a vampire and starts exhibiting erratic behavior. He pushes his secretary to extremes as he tries to come to terms with his affliction.

Horror Vault's take

A Manhattan publishing executive becomes convinced he is transforming into a vampire after a strange nocturnal encounter, sending his grip on reality into a terrifying freefall. Nicolas Cage delivers one of his most wildly unhinged performances as the man's behavior grows increasingly erratic and dangerous — blurring the line between genuine supernatural affliction and full-blown psychosis. His long-suffering secretary bears the brunt of his escalating mania, trapped in a nightmare she never signed up for. Equal parts dark comedy and psychological horror, the film is a cult oddity that refuses to be easily categorized.
