The premise
With his marriage fraying, Blake persuades his wife Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit his remote childhood home in rural Oregon. As they arrive at the farmhouse in the dead of night, they're attacked by an unseen animal and barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. But as the night stretches on, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable.

A couple hoping to salvage their strained marriage retreats to a remote Oregon farmhouse, only to find the wilderness outside far more dangerous than anything they left behind in the city. After a violent encounter with an unseen creature in the dark, they barricade themselves inside — but the threat may not stay on the other side of the door for long. Director Leigh Whannell's reimagining of the classic lycanthrope myth leans into creeping dread and intimate domestic tension as much as outright terror. What begins as a story about a crumbling relationship quietly mutates into something far more visceral and unsettling.
