The premise

In a mountainous region of Japan, Lord Arakawa kidnaps the men of nearby villages to use as slave labor, producing gunpowder from his sulfur pits. A band of young boys decide to rescue their enslaved fathers on their own.

Horror Vault's take

In the shadow of feudal Japan's mountains, a ruthless lord enslaves the men of surrounding villages to fuel his deadly gunpowder operation. With the adults powerless, a determined group of young boys take fate into their own hands and mount a desperate rescue mission against overwhelming odds. Looming over it all is Daimajin, the ancient stone giant of Japanese legend, whose patience with human cruelty may finally be running out. This third entry in the Daimajin trilogy blends samurai-era adventure with kaiju spectacle in a story rooted in folk mythology.
