The premise
This equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama tells the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later.

When a championship high school soccer team's plane goes down in the remote wilderness, the girls who survive face something far darker than the elements alone. Told across two timelines — the harrowing months stranded in the wild and the fractured adult lives of those who made it home — Yellowjackets asks how far people will go to survive, and what they become in the process. The series builds a creeping, ritualistic dread that suggests the wilderness may have awakened something ancient and terrible in its survivors. Equal parts prestige drama and slow-burn horror, it's one of the most ambitious genre hybrids in recent television.
