In a remote Welsh mansion, a grief-stricken woman enlists a cantankerous occultist to guide her through an exhausting, months-long magical ritual — one that demands total commitment, physical endurance, and a willingness to face whatever answers her call. The film is less interested in cheap scares than in the psychological and emotional toll that such a pursuit exacts on two deeply flawed people locked together in claustrophobic proximity. As the ritual progresses, the line between devotion and madness, between the sacred and the profane, grows dangerously thin.
