The premise

When a rational university lecturer crosses paths with a troubled medium who claims to communicate with the dead, the two are drawn into a collision of belief and scepticism that neither can easily walk away from. Set against the grey backdrop of everyday English life, Afterlife mines quiet dread from the possibility that the spirits Alison Mundy channels may be all too real. The series builds its unease through character and atmosphere rather than spectacle, making the horror feel intimate and deeply personal.
