The premise
Maddie, a teen stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance, goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school purgatory, but the closer she gets to discovering the truth, the more secrets and lies she uncovers.

When Maddie finds herself trapped in the afterlife with no memory of how she got there, she refuses to simply haunt the halls of her high school — she wants answers. Navigating a ghostly purgatory alongside other restless spirits, she begins piecing together the circumstances of her own disappearance. But every clue she uncovers pulls back a new layer of hidden truths, and the mystery runs far deeper than she ever expected. Equal parts supernatural mystery and coming-of-age drama, School Spirits is a compulsively watchable puzzle with heart.
