When a small private plane suffers a catastrophic malfunction mid-flight, a young pilot and her four friends find themselves helplessly climbing into the clouds with no way down. Trapped in an increasingly desperate situation, the group soon realizes that mechanical failure may be the least of their worries — something else is waiting for them above the storm. Altitude cranks the claustrophobia to the limit, stranding its cast in a confined metal tube while an otherworldly threat circles ever closer.
