The premise
A white Bull Terrier named Baxter is given to an elderly woman by her daughter. As time passes, the dog develops aggressive and murderous behavior in order to be adopted by another family.

Told from the perspective of a calculating white Bull Terrier, Baxter is a quietly unnerving French film that turns the idea of man's best friend on its head. The dog moves through a series of households, sizing up each owner with a chilling inner logic that blurs the line between animal instinct and something far more deliberate. What unfolds is less a creature-feature and more a cold, darkly comic meditation on dominance and belonging — seen through eyes that offer no comfort.
