Deep in the frozen wilderness of Northern Canada, a team of archaeologists uncovers a structure of impossible age — and with it, something that should have stayed buried. As communication with the outside world dies, the men are left alone with creeping paranoia, disturbing visions, and a growing sense that the dig site has awakened something far beyond human comprehension. Black Mountain Side is a slow-burn exercise in existential dread, drawing heavily from the tradition of cosmic horror. The unforgiving winter landscape becomes as much an antagonist as whatever lurks at the edges of the team's deteriorating minds.
