The premise
After drug crops are sprayed with a chemical by a passing airplane, the growers of the crop are poisoned by the chemical and turn into zombie-like mutants.

When a clandestine aerial operation douses illegal drug crops with an experimental chemical, the backwoods growers exposed to the substance are transformed into something far more dangerous than criminals. A low-budget regional shocker, Bloodeaters delivers scrappy survival horror as authorities and civilians alike are forced to confront the monstrous fallout of a toxic cover-up. Equal parts exploitation and cautionary tale, it taps into 1980s anxieties about chemical warfare and institutional recklessness.
