The premise
1901, South Africa. As the Second Anglo-Boer War rages on, a wounded General seeks refuge in the small home of a woman and her young daughter. As the hurt man settles in, he begins noticing that something is off about the two women, particularly the daughter, and before long, he’ll learn the real reason for why they’ve invited him and for how they’ve survived on their own for so long.

Set against the brutal backdrop of the 1901 Anglo-Boer War, a wounded General stumbles upon what seems like sanctuary in a remote South African homestead. The two women sheltering him — a mother and her young daughter — appear welcoming enough, but an creeping wrongness quietly pervades every corner of their home. As the General recovers, small details refuse to add up, and the kindness he's been shown begins to feel like something else entirely. This slow-burning South African horror draws on colonial history and folk dread to deliver a distinctly unsettling chamber piece.
