The premise
Dr. Eric Vornoff, with the help of his mute assistant Lobo, captures twelve men for a grisly experiment; His goal to turn them into supermen using atomic energy. Reporter Janet Lawton, fiancée of the local lieutenant, vows to investigate Vornoff's supposedly haunted house.

In a fog-shrouded swamp mansion, the eccentric Dr. Vornoff and his hulking mute assistant pursue a twisted vision of human perfection through atomic-powered experiments on unwilling victims. When a tenacious newspaper reporter goes snooping around the estate locals whisper is haunted, she finds herself dangerously close to becoming the doctor's next subject. Equal parts pulpy sci-fi and old-dark-house horror, this Ed Wood production leans hard into its B-movie atmosphere and the commanding screen presence of its legendary star.
