The premise

A haunted movie theatre owner is commissioned by a wealthy and eccentric collector to track down the sole surviving print of a legendary film — one whose sole screening reportedly drove its audience to murderous insanity. The hunt takes him through a criminal underworld of obsessive cinephiles, dangerous dealers, and dark secrets, all while his own troubled past closes in around him. Masters of Horror director John Carpenter delivers a slow-burn descent into the idea that some things are better left unseen.
