The premise
After receiving a cryptic letter from his estranged father, Norval travels to his dad’s oceanfront home for what he hopes will be a positive experience. If only he’d known the dark truth about his old man beforehand.

When Norval answers a mysterious letter from the father he barely knows, he arrives at a remote oceanfront retreat hoping for some kind of reconciliation — only to find the reunion far more disturbing than he ever anticipated. What begins as an awkward, uncomfortable family drama gradually twists into something far more sinister and strange. Elijah Wood delivers a nervy, sympathetic performance as a man desperately out of his depth, navigating secrets that keep getting darker. This is a film that delights in pulling the rug out from under you, blending pitch-black comedy with genuine menace.
