The premise
To mark his passage into manhood, young Ilias is gifted a magical bow by his father and embarks upon a journey into the wilderness to rid the land of evil, all the while battling the witch Ocron, who wishes to steal the bow for her own nefarious ends.

A young warrior steps into manhood armed with a mystical bow and a prophecy, venturing into a savage wilderness teeming with monsters and malevolent forces. Standing against him is Ocron, a seductive and ruthless sorceress who covets the weapon's power for herself. Italian genre maestro Lucio Fulci bathes the film in an otherworldly haze of fog and dream-logic, crafting a sword-and-sorcery nightmare unlike any other. The unlikely bond forged between Ilias and a hardened loner he meets on the road becomes his greatest weapon against the darkness ahead.
