The premise
A PE teacher moves to a isolated mountain village where the people appear to live in unshakeable serenity, but soon stumbles across a disturbing ritual. Once a week, the locals are freed of their pain by a lonely boy born with the power to heal one's soul just by hugging them. Trying to rescue him from this madness, the man unleashes his dark side.

When a PE teacher relocates to a remote mountain village, he finds its inhabitants bathed in an almost unnatural calm — and soon discovers the chilling source of their peace. At the heart of the community is a solitary boy whose rare gift is being used in ways that deeply disturb the newcomer. What begins as an impulse to do the right thing draws the man into a confrontation with forces both external and internal. This Italian elevated horror strips back the supernatural to something quietly, disturbingly human.
