The premise
Unusually vicious and aggressive sharks attack an oil rig in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Dane Quatrell and a team are sent to investigate, but the sharks are still on the prowl and now they have developed a taste for blood.

When a remote Gulf of Mexico oil rig becomes the hunting ground for an inexplicably ferocious pack of sharks, a rescue and investigation team is deployed straight into the danger zone. Cut off from safety and surrounded by open water, the crew quickly discovers these predators are unlike anything encountered before. What begins as a mission becomes a desperate fight to stay alive against relentless, bloodthirsty hunters lurking beneath the surface.
