The premise
A group of survivors take refuge in a shopping mall after the world is taken over by aggressive, flesh-eating zombies.

When the dead rise hungry and fast, a handful of strangers — a nurse, a cop, and a handful of civilians — barricade themselves inside a sprawling shopping mall hoping to outlast the apocalypse. Zack Snyder's kinetic remake trades the original's slow shamble for sprinting, savage undead that ratchet the tension to near-breaking point. The mall setting becomes a pressure cooker, forcing its mismatched survivors to negotiate trust, grief, and impossible choices while the world burns outside the shuttered storefronts.
