The premise
A group of fashion models disturb the tomb of a mummy and revive an ancient curse. Along with the mummy rising, slaves who were buried in the desert thousands of years before, also rise, with a craving for human flesh.

When a group of fashion models unwittingly intrudes on a sacred Egyptian tomb during a photo shoot, they awaken far more than legend — an ancient mummy stirs, and with it, a horde of long-dead slaves hungry for the living. Shot on location and blending old-school mummy mythology with flesh-eating undead mayhem, this 1981 cult oddity delivers a grimy, sun-scorched brand of horror. The collision of glamour and gore gives the film a distinctly trashy energy that sets it apart from more reverent mummy tales.
