The premise
Destination Truth is a weekly American paranormal reality television series that premiered on June 6, 2007, on Syfy. Produced by Mandt Bros. Productions and Ping Pong Productions, the program follows paranormal researcher Josh Gates around the world to investigate claims of the supernatural, mainly in the field of cryptozoology.

Hosted by the charismatic Josh Gates, Destination Truth sends a dedicated team to the far corners of the globe in pursuit of creatures and phenomena that science has yet to explain. Each episode plants itself firmly in local legend and folklore, venturing into remote jungles, ancient ruins, and shadowy wilderness to gather evidence firsthand. It's part travel show, part ghost hunt, and part monster quest — a blend that keeps viewers guessing whether the truth is really out there.
