The premise
Thomas de Frémont, a precocious child obsessed with action films, sets himself up for a terrifying Christmas Eve after he unwittingly makes contact with a deranged psychopath who claims he's Santa Claus.

When a clever, action-obsessed boy is left largely alone in his sprawling family mansion on Christmas Eve, what begins as a night of imagination and games turns lethally real. A deeply unhinged man in a Santa Claus costume has set his sights on the property, and the household's defences are far from what a child should have to rely on. This French cult thriller weaponises the warmth of Christmas against itself, turning holiday iconography into something genuinely menacing. Think home-invasion terror filtered through the eyes of a resourceful kid who may have watched one too many action movies — for better or worse.
