Set against the glittering excess of the 1970s disco era, Discopath follows Duane Lewis, a withdrawn young man whose first encounter with the pulsating beat of disco music unleashes something deeply, violently wrong inside him. What begins as a quirky premise quickly descends into bloody mayhem as Duane's compulsion proves impossible to suppress, forcing him to flee across the border to Montreal. Part grindhouse throwback and part character study in warped psychology, the film leans hard into its exploitation roots with gleeful period detail. Fans of retro sleaze will find plenty to groove — and grimace — at.
