The premise

As a child, Donald was tormented by his mother who used fire as a punishment. Now a deranged adult, Donald stalks women at clubs, then takes them home where he kills them with a flamethrower.

Horror Vault's take

Shaped by a childhood of brutal punishment at the hands of his mother, Donald has grown into a deeply disturbed man with a terrifying obsession with fire. He prowls the disco clubs of New Jersey, luring unsuspecting women back to his secluded house where his rage finds its most horrifying expression. Don't Go in the House is a raw, unflinching descent into the psychology of a killer, drawing as much from character study as from shock. It earned its place on the UK Video Nasty list and remains one of the more genuinely disturbing entries in the early-80s slasher cycle.
