The premise
Teenage delinquents who are living in an island youth center wake up to find themselves alone with no one to watch over them. After much partying, they realize the island has been deserted and the adults have been infected by a mysterious epidemic.

A group of troubled teenagers at an island reform center think their unsupervised freedom is a dream come true — until they discover the adult world outside has collapsed into something far more terrifying. Stranded with no way out and no one to protect them, the teens must confront a deadly epidemic that makes growing up the most dangerous thing imaginable. What begins as a coming-of-age story twists into a desperate fight for survival against an encroaching horror they never could have anticipated.
