When a woman retreats to a remote woodland home with her new stepson, an uneasy relationship quickly turns dangerous after the boy gets his hands on a cursed talisman belonging to a mysterious neighbor. The artifact unleashes something ancient and hungry that preys on the boy through his dreams, twisting his grief over his deceased mother into something far darker. With the family cut off from the outside world and the boy's behavior growing increasingly alarming, the adults race to understand what has taken hold before it's too late.
