America's favorite horror hostess trades the Las Vegas spotlight for the buttoned-up hamlet of Fallwell, Massachusetts, where her fishnet-and-cleavage aesthetic is about as welcome as a black cat at a church picnic. She's come to collect a mysterious inheritance, but the locals — and one particularly unsettling uncle — have other ideas. Equal parts B-movie roast and supernatural send-up, the film leans hard into Elvira's razor-sharp wit and bombshell persona to skewer small-minded conformity at every turn. It's a love letter to schlocky horror wrapped in a feather boa.
