The premise
The setting is Carpathia. The year is 1851. When Elvira gets kicked out of an Inn for a slight monetary discrepancy, she is rescued by a local who takes her to stay at the castle in the hills high above the village. The fact that she happens to resemble the count's former "missing" wife opens a can of worms or two.
Horror Vault's take
Set in 1851 Carpathia, Elvira finds herself an unlikely guest at a brooding hilltop castle after a run-in with an innkeeper over unpaid bills. Her uncanny resemblance to the lord of the manor's long-lost wife makes her welcome — and her situation increasingly precarious. Equal parts gothic atmosphere and self-aware comedy, the film leans hard into Elvira's signature blend of cleavage, quips, and cheerful irreverence. Fans of classic horror parody will feel right at home among the cobwebs and candlelight.
