The premise
A Florida real estate developer and her captain lure investors to a property in the Everglades called Dreamland Shores, under false pretenses that the swampland will soon be developed. After the group arrives on a small island, they find it has been overrun by giant mutated ants, brought on by the dumping of toxic waste in the area.

When a scheming Florida real estate promoter herds a group of prospective buyers into the remote Everglades, the boggy wilderness holds a far deadlier secret than swampland deeds and empty promises. Illegal toxic waste dumping has given rise to a colony of massive, mutated ants with an unsettling hunger for more than just territory. Cut off from civilization, the survivors must fight through suffocating marshland while the ants prove smarter — and more organized — than anyone anticipated. This late-70s creature feature leans hard into eco-horror dread and delivers exactly the B-movie thrills its era promised.
