The premise
Deep in the Amazon jungle a group of scientists are on a dangerous mission. When their guide suddenly abandons them, they find themselves in a savage and hostile environment. However, things turn deadly when they find they are in the middle of a hunting ground for a pack of prehistoric predators long thought extinct.

A team of scientists venturing deep into the Amazon quickly discovers that being abandoned by their guide is the least of their worries. Something ancient and apex stalks the dense jungle around them — and it is very, very hungry. Shot in a raw, immersive style, Extinction pits human ingenuity against a threat that evolution never prepared us to face. The rainforest itself becomes as much an enemy as the creatures lurking within it.
