The premise
A medical school dropout loses his fiancée in a tragic lawnmower incident and decides to bring her back to life. Unfortunately, he was only able to save her head, so he goes to the red light district in the city and lures prostitutes into a hotel room so he can collect body parts to reassemble her.

When a self-taught medical tinkerer loses his beloved fiancée in a spectacularly gruesome backyard accident, he refuses to accept her death — and hatches an increasingly unhinged plan involving New York City's seedy underworld to put her back together again. Part Frankenstein riff, part downtown sleaze comedy, this 1990 cult oddity leans gleefully into its own absurdity, pairing neon-lit grime with rubber-gloved mad-science theatrics. Director Frank Henenlotter treats the premise with gleeful bad taste, delivering a film that is far more interested in getting a laugh than giving you a scare. It's filthy, it's funny, and it wears its low-budget heart proudly on its stitched-together sleeve.
