When a wartime secret involving the legendary heart of Frankenstein's monster ends up in Hiroshima on the eve of the atomic bombing, the catastrophic blast sets in motion something no scientist could have predicted. Decades later, a strange feral child surfaces in the ruined city, drawing the attention of researchers who begin to suspect a monstrous connection to that long-buried experiment. As the boy grows at an alarming rate, the Japanese countryside faces a threat that blurs the line between victim and destroyer.
