The premise
Gabriel tells the story of an archangel who fights to bring light back to purgatory - a place where darkness rules - and save the souls of the city's inhabitants.

In a rain-soaked, neon-lit purgatory where the forces of darkness have seized control, the archangel Gabriel descends to fight for the souls trapped within. Stripped of much of his divine power, he must navigate a brutal underworld populated by fallen angels and corrupted souls. The film blends religious mythology with grimy urban action, painting a desperate portrait of heaven's last hope against an overwhelming shadow. Whether light can be restored to this forsaken realm is far from certain.
