The premise
A teenager feels an endless fascination for his cellular which will enable him to reach his aim: alluring the pretty high-school girl he's in love with. Unfortunately, this special "addiction" will not be without negative consequences on the behavior of the boy...

A lovesick French teenager becomes dangerously fixated on a mysterious phone that seems to grant his deepest desires — including the attention of the girl he's been pining after. But the device comes with a price far darker than any data plan, and its hold over him grows harder to shake with every call. Part teen comedy, part supernatural cautionary tale, Hellphone wraps its devilish hook in a distinctly French adolescent setting. Fans of quirky horror-comedies with a coming-of-age edge will find plenty to enjoy here.
