The premise
When her teen daughter displays increasingly disturbing behavior after a near death experience, a mother becomes convinced the girl brought something evil back from the other side.

A family vacation in Rome turns into a waking nightmare when a mother watches her teenage daughter change into someone — or something — unrecognizable following a near-fatal accident. What begins as relief at her child's survival curdles into creeping terror as the girl's behavior grows darker and more inexplicable. Set against the ancient backdrop of Italy, the film asks a deeply unsettling question: what if the person who came back isn't entirely the one who left?
