Horror Vault's take

Three American women studying abroad are drawn to a remote Slovakian hostel by promises of relaxation and adventure, unaware that something deeply sinister operates behind its walls. Director Eli Roth returns to the universe of the original Hostel and shifts the lens onto new victims and, crucially, the shadowy clientele who pay for the horror. The film pushes further into the mechanics and morality of its fictional underground network, forcing the audience to confront uncomfortable questions about who truly holds power in this world. Expect relentless tension that escalates into some of the franchise's most extreme set-pieces.
