The premise

A hypnotherapist uses a temperamental teenager as a guinea pig for a serum which transforms him into a vicious werewolf.

Horror Vault's take

In this late-1950s drive-in classic, a troubled teen with a hair-trigger temper falls into the hands of an unscrupulous hypnotherapist whose experimental serum unlocks something far more dangerous than teenage angst. Michael Landon delivers a surprisingly raw performance as a young man caught between his own volatile emotions and the monstrous force being unleashed within him. Equal parts mad-science thriller and creature feature, the film taps into Cold War-era anxieties about authority, youth, and the ethics of human experimentation.
