The premise
Police detective Clayton Douglas is summoned to a remote hospital where a mysterious Civil War veteran's outrageous deathbed confession forces him to accept the supernatural.

When detective Clayton Douglas is called to the bedside of a dying man claiming a past stretching back to the Civil War, what begins as a routine inquiry spirals into something far beyond rational explanation. The old man's confession pulls Douglas into a confrontation with forces that challenge everything he believes about the world. Steeped in dread and moral unease, Impuratus pits skeptical logic against an ancient, malevolent truth.
