The premise

Deep in the rural backwoods, a tightly-knit community has long honored a mysterious pit through blood sacrifice — and it always gets what it's owed. When a young woman discovers she is next to be chosen, she desperately attempts to outrun a destiny her entire world demands she accept. What follows is a suffocating clash between individual will and the crushing weight of tradition, with something ancient and unforgiving watching every move. Jug Face is a slow-burn folk horror that finds its terror less in monsters than in the people who serve them.
