The premise
A group of friends, spending the weekend in a house in the isolated countryside, are attacked by a swarm of killer horseflies that feed on human flesh like piranhas. The group soon discovers that the only deterrent that can keep the insects away is THC, the main ingredient that makes up cannabis. Their only hope of survival is therefore given by the consumption of grass, with all the consequences that entails.

When a weekend getaway in the remote Italian countryside turns into a bloodbath, a group of friends finds itself under siege from a ravenous swarm of flesh-eating horseflies. Escape seems impossible — until an unlikely and decidedly unconventional repellent is discovered. What follows is a frantic, stoner-comedy-meets-creature-feature scramble to stay alive while keeping the swarm at bay. Equal parts gross-out horror and laugh-out-loud absurdity, this Italian genre mashup leans hard into its ridiculous premise.
