The premise
A group of students goes into the woods to study birds, and soon the dead begin to rise to devour the living.
Horror Vault's take
A student field expedition into remote woodland to study bird populations takes a savage turn when something far more dangerous than wildlife begins to stalk the group. The dead do not stay buried in these woods, and the living soon find themselves hunted by forces they cannot explain or outrun. Equal parts creature-feature dread and gut-churning splatter, this late-80s Italian-flavored horror delivers relentless menace in a wilderness setting. Fans of no-frills undead carnage will find plenty to sink their teeth into.
