The premise
Four friends are spending the night at Lake Bodom, where unsolved murders took place many years ago. The young men are determined to venture into the dense forest to solve the mystery.
Horror Vault's take
Inspired by one of Finland's most infamous unsolved murders, Lake Bodom drops four teenagers back at the very lakeside campsite where a brutal killing spree once shocked a nation. What begins as an amateur investigation into cold-case history quickly spirals into a desperate, terrifying fight for survival. The dense forest closes in around them as trust fractures and the darkness — both natural and human — grows harder to outrun. Finnish horror rarely gets this mean-spirited or this clever.
