The premise
An expedition led by adventurer Darren McCall and funded by the wealthy Harry Vargas braves the impenetrable jungle to retrieve a fabled bejeweled dagger from an ancient burial ground. But pulling the dagger from its rightful resting place awakens the long-dormant plant creature - part plant, part animal, and all bloodthirsty -- and sends it on a feeding frenzy from which there seems scant hope of survival or escape...

Deep in an uncharted jungle, a mercenary expedition funded by a wealthy benefactor unearths a legendary jeweled dagger from a sacred burial site — only to unleash something that has been sleeping far longer than anyone bargained for. Part plant, part predator, and entirely merciless, the creature that stirs is unlike anything the team is equipped to face. What began as a treasure hunt quickly becomes a desperate fight to stay alive in terrain that offers no easy exits.
