A freelance cameraman fixated on capturing authentic terror descends into the labyrinthine underworld beneath Tokyo's subway system, chasing an urban legend that promises answers about the true source of fear. What he discovers in the darkness defies easy explanation — and may cost him far more than his sanity. Shot in a pseudo-documentary style, the film blurs the line between observer and participant in deeply disquieting ways.
