The premise
The Space Shuttle returns to earth, but some of the equipment brought back on it begins to behave strangely. Scientists are unsure what is happening, and decide to take all necessary precautions.

When astronauts bring back more than they bargained for from a lunar mission, what seems like routine cargo quickly becomes a source of mounting dread back on Earth. Something alien and mechanical has awakened, and NASA's scientists are scrambling to understand a threat unlike anything in human experience. Starring Walter Koenig and Bruce Campbell, this late-80s sci-fi horror hybrid leans into the terror of encountering intelligence that is utterly inhuman. The moon has never felt so ominous.
