The premise

When a charming and enigmatic stranger opens an antique shop in the quiet Maine town of Castle Rock, every resident finds exactly what their heart craves on its shelves — but the true cost of each purchase has nothing to do with money. As townsfolk begin acting on dark impulses they can barely explain, the local sheriff senses something deeply wrong at the heart of it all. Based on Stephen King's novel, this is a story about how easily ordinary people can be turned against one another when their deepest desires are dangled before them. Max von Sydow brings an icily magnetic menace to the shopkeeper at the center of it all.
