The premise
Rob is grief-stricken following the death of his girlfriend Nina, but after a failed suicide attempt he begins to move on from the tragedy and falls for his colleague Holly. Holly loves Rob and tries to help him through his grief – even if it means contending with Nina, who comes back from the dead, bloody and broken, every time they make love.
Horror Vault's take
When Rob survives a suicide attempt and cautiously opens his heart to a new relationship, the ghost of his dead girlfriend refuses to stay buried — literally. Nina Forever is a darkly inventive British horror that uses the supernatural as a visceral metaphor for the way past loves can haunt the living. Equal parts romance, black comedy, and body-horror nightmare, it refuses to play by the rules of any single genre. The result is something genuinely strange and emotionally raw that lingers long after the credits roll.
