The premise
A fashion designer suffers from a mysterious illness that puzzles her doctors and frustrates her husband until help arrives in the form of a Filipino caregiver who uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth.

When a fashion designer begins wasting away from an illness no doctor can explain, the arrival of an uninvited Filipino caregiver sets in motion a confrontation with something far older and more dangerous than medicine can treat. Director Lorcan Finnegan weaves Philippine folk tradition into a suffocating domestic horror that refuses to stay comfortably exotic. Eva Green and Chai Fonacier anchor a story where the supernatural and the personal collide in ways that feel earned rather than gratuitous. What begins as a household mystery steadily reveals itself to be a reckoning with choices that cannot simply be undone.
