The premise
Police sergeant Neil Howie is called to an island village in search of a missing girl whom the locals claim never existed. The investigation is further complicated as Howie’s religious views clash with those of the island’s residents.

A deeply devout police sergeant travels to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, only to find the locals utterly indifferent — and suspiciously tight-lipped. As his inquiries deepen, he encounters a community living by ancient pagan customs wildly at odds with his own rigid Christianity. The island pulses with unsettling songs, bizarre rituals, and a charismatic lord who seems to hold everyone under his sway. What begins as a missing-persons case slowly curdles into something far more primal and horrifying.
