The premise

After a family visit, stressed businesswoman Senga Wilson is driving with her rebellious daughter, Nat, down an ominous highway in the middle of the night. After they pick up a weird teenage hitchhiker, their journey goes awry. Nat decides to give her mom the slip and runs off with the hitchhiker at a rest stop. In a desperate search to find her daughter, Senga learns that Nat has been drawn into an evil cult.

Horror Vault's take

A late-night road trip between a frazzled mother and her defiant teenage daughter takes a sinister turn when a strange hitchhiker enters the picture. What begins as a family tension-fueled drive quickly spirals into something far darker, as the daughter vanishes into the orbit of a mysterious and dangerous cult. Senga's frantic search along the roadside underbelly exposes her to a world of rituals and manipulation she was never prepared for. Norman Reedus and Jonathan Rhys Meyers lend an unsettling edge to this nocturnal nightmare of obsession and control.
